The film had its world premiere at the 48th Telluride Film Festival on September 2, 2021, and is scheduled for a one-week run in Los Angeles on December 17, 2021, prior to a theatrical release in the United States on January 21, 2022, by United Artists Releasing. It was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy (Dinklage) at the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

Re: Cyrano It's well made and features a strong performance from Dinklage, but I have a hard time understanding why this was made or who the audience for it is. The songs are so downbeat and forgettable - only "Wherever I Fall" really makes an impact - and the story has been done time and time again. C

Re: Cyrano I saw the trailer with West Side Story and it looked bad. I don't think I'll see it.
