The definition of fluffy enjoyable romcom. Good performances all around, and the references are nice chuckles.

Meg Ryan needs to call Hanks up to revive her career, I would like to see him do something lighthearted as the everyday joe again as well, so it'd be perfect for nostalgia factor.

Great throwback to the screwball romcoms of the thirties.

I didn't mind this film, whereas I don't like Sleepless in Seattle. Tom Hanks character is less pathetic in this one, he has a decent role and plays it well.

I like this one, at least a little better than Sleepless In Seattle. I like both characters better in this one. They are less annoying and more mature, I guess.

I can't help but watch this whenever it's on TV. It's so light and fluffy and predictable and yet... so enjoyable? It gets a little too sugary at the end, but most of it is actually kind of sharp and witty. Kind of.

A big step down from her earlier collaborations with Hanks, and the movie that pretty much ended Meg Ryan's mainstream film career.

(Nothing beats French Kiss - - her best RomCom!)

Oh yes, the twirling scene, and probably a couple of others.

This was on not long ago and it was wonderful to revisit this movie.

I'm watching this right now on Oxygen channel. Whenever I see this movie, I get into like such a girly fit of luv and aww-ness. Such a kyoot movie, I L-U-V it.

And the first page of this thread is funny. Libs and Mav were practically boyfriend and girlfriend.

LOL, is it bad that I would always get really confused when I read one of this guy's posts?

Like, wtf, I don't remember writing that at all...

I just finished the movie. And I kind of just realized, this is one creepy movie. Tom Hanks strings Meg Ryan's character around after finding out who Shopgirl is. He like becomes a stalker almost, leading her along as he pretends to not be NY152 while talking to her in-real-life. Creepy.

This is just one gem of a movie, a great rom-rom and 90's classic. Chemistry between Ryan and Hanks is excellent and the latter shows how good of an actor he is. Part of great Hanks streak really and looking back it's very much a film of its time, books going out of fashion with the internet looming and the start of online dating. It's full of good comedy and the film delivers as a bright piece of joy.
