I didn't think of any of those characters while watching Electro.

Apart from Emperor Palpatine, I like all of the above blue characters.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The link is ok, but it doesn't remember one thing, and that's that the film is based on a comicbook, and the film perfectly represents a comicbook and how a comicbook would play out. Comicbooks are not logical, and do not always make complete and utter sense, they are not meant. They're meant to be fun, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the most fun I've ever had with a superhero film.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
I liked it. I have so many complaints that I could list out, as so many of you have done, but I liked it anyways. I wish Jamie Foxx had been more Donald Glover and that Harry's storyline wasn't so rushed, but I liked it anyways. I wish they hadn't killed the best part of the franchise amidst a mostly goofy movie, but I liked it anyways. Is there any way Emma Stone could also play Mary Jane?
Webb makes the relationships between the characters work very well. The movie is too long, but I like that it has time to breathe with different character interactions that don't always need to push the plot forward. I liked that we didn't have a 3 on 1 battle in the middle of Times Square and instead got a more intimate battle between Spidey/Gwen and Electro.
So while less Emma Stone is never a good thing, something The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will learn the hard way, everything else is just as good or better than the first. I'm happy that I can continue life without hating a Spider-Man movie (3 is OK, this is much better).

ASM2 is stupid and insulting in ways far beyond your normal comic-book movie. Many of the moments are on the level of Green Lantern and X-men: Origins. Are those films also good because they aren't as lunatic as something from the mind of Frank Miller?

Sure it can, and to you it was dreadful. But to me, and millions of others, it was simply brilliant.

There's no need to act like a child and insult people because they can find entertainment in something that you cannot.

The source material doesn't blow through Harry Osborne's story in record time. In the source material, Max Dillion doesn't exhibit every conceivable "nerd cliche." The source material didn't turn Rhino isn't a Russian cartoon character. Comic books often do things even worse than this, and when they do, it's godawful. But don't kid yourself that they're incapable of telling coherent stories, because many do. Your notion there is actually pretty insulting to comic book writers that do so.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Perhaps nowadays they make coherent stories, which is why comics are shit nowadays. Back in the hey day of comics, they were so unrealistic and camp, but it didn't matter, because they were inspiring and great escapism...just like The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Magnus is just caught between following popular opinion and following his own love for the film. Eventually he'll concede to the former.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
I just watched the film for a second time. I'm downgrading it to an A-. I still loved it, but a few things that I ignored on the first viewing because I was having such an amazing time, bugged me this time. Things such as Gwen saying "I'm the only one that knows the grid"...and it's simply a padlock, and pushing a button - I am sure Spider-Man could have figured that out. Also, Electro's complete 180 on loving Spider-Man was kind of odd. But everything else is utterly fantastic.
I cannot wait for the third movie which I am sure will feature a revenge-filled Peter Parker (vs. Harry Osborn) dealing with Rhino and Harry's other incarnations.
A-
