Continued my rewatch of the MI series with this, relatively fresher in mind than 2 and 3 and with it holding it in high regard, it definitely lives up to it completely when revisiting. It's a great sequel, combining some of the best elements of the previous films and improving in such a way as a whole that it cannot be denied. The weakest link is indeed the villain, frankly the most forgettable one of the series, but every other aspect is sublime. Cruise still as the top dog, excellent action scenes, its best crew yet, the stakes. MI3 has grown a lot on me recently, but out of the 2-4, GP is just the most wonderful sequel without doubt.
