It has the look and style of acting of films they don't really make that much anymore which kind of helps the dreamy feeling. I appreciated that Phantom was a murderous possessive guy instead of following the Gaston/Beast playbook, however Rossum and Wilson's characters are mostly just pretty faces and I kind of got sick of her interchangeable songs sand just wanted the Phantom to get back on screen. Minnie Driver is spot on as annoying diva. The only real banger in the soundtrack to me is the title song which is what inspired me to watch this. Overall easier to respect than enjoy.
