So this film wasn't well received it seems and to some extent I can see why, the story and characters are a bit odd and it's very much a film that emphasizes style. However, I love the style! It's Ritchie showcasing his talent and I very much appreciate his way of storytelling. I'm also a fan of Statham but I guess I have to say this was perhaps not the best role for him. The film excels with its action parts and it could probably have more it, as the story is a bit herky-jerky throughout and takes till the end to come whole. But Liotta is great in this, nails the part and despite the rest of the cast's shortcomings, Ritchie manages to cover it with how he's molded this ultimately and I like how it incorporates the psychology of the ego.
