It's well made and all and being able to make such an emotional CGI character in Caesar, but the storyline which felt like some combination of Walking Dead characters finding a new encampment/Bridge on the River Kwai and with new savior girl that doesn't seem to amount to much, humans going to war with each other and then needing a deux ex avalanche to make sure the humans get wiped out, felt convoluted to me compared to if had just been Ape army vs Human army, and required a few more hours to set up instead of just relying on the second movie to do that. I think the second was my favorite of the original trilogy despite being the least necessary.
