All said and done - disappointing if this only opens 25% over Brave New World. Would expect a 40-50% higher OW considering the hype and summer release. Same goes for FF4. |

DC Brand is tainted after DCEU fiasco. So its like Batman Begins situation. You have to build your credibility again. Plus SH movies are not as hot as say a decade ago where movies with unknown characters were blockbusters and China has huge for everything. Korea also seem to have given up on SH movies. So its tougher for the genre. Only movies which are Avengers level or build nostalgia bringing back characters(NWH and D&W) seem to break out these days. |

And perhaps Brave New World and Thunderbolts overperformed OW due to being released at less competitive times. |

Factor in context but the reactions on social are exceptional, including from some very big names. At worst it sounds like a Mummy/Transformers esque crowd pleaser, at best it is toe to toe with Raimis first 2 Spiderman films. |

Reactions are ok. Its not screaming universal acclaim or anything. But definitely stronger than Man of Steel or Superman Returns for sure. Presales are amping up. I dont see it miss 100m for sure. I am still sticking with 111m for now. If it explodes way more post reviews, i will increase. |
