Mufasa will likely make more than Sonic on Christmas. I knew it would rebound, but I didn't think it would have a day where it beat Sonic at all, let alone this soon.

Mufasa's Christmas Eve # (likely the lowest daily # until Jan) is just 47% lower than its opening day (-29% taking out previews).

Sonic's Christmas Eve # is down -72% from it's opening day (-61% taking out previews).

Mufasa is a very accessible all ages film more so than Sonic so makes sense it would rebound over the holidays.

Sonic dropping the same as Wicked and Moana isn't that bad however Mufasa is holding particularly well.

I’m not surprised. Sonic was always about the OW. Having seen Mufasa - its a good film and a crowd pleaser. Both will be big but Mufasa has the edge longer term

Charlie now has Mufasa at $13.5M+! That would exceed it's opening day (with previews). Would also be an over 90% increase over Christmas Eve.

This seems to be looking good for $200M+ at this point. I don't think $300M is impossible here though a long shot.

Now Mufasa is at 15+, Sonic 10.5+. Nosferatu might hit 12+.

A Complete Unknown is looking like 5.5 Million, but 7 Million with previews. I honestly expected more with all of the full showings I saw at every theater.

Full Christmas #'s From Charlie

Mufasa - $15M
Nosferatu - $10.5M+ ($11.5M+ incl previews)
Sonic - $10.5M
ACU - $5.5M ($7M incl previews)
Wicked - $5.5M +99% w/w
Moana - $4.3M +113% w/w
Gladiator - $1.5M +64% w/w
Baby Girl - $1.4M
Fire Inside - $1.3M
Homestead - $1.2M

Great for Nosferatu. ACU did solid $7M with previews. With awards attention could play for a while.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by Wicked and Moana. Can Wicked pull another $102M for $500M? Feel like it needed a stronger spike. Moana needs another $129M so seems $500M is definitely out.

Both Nosferatu and Complete Unknown could make a run at 100m. If not quite make it then get close.

Frozen 2 made an additional 78m after a 4.1m Xmas day. That multiple would get Wicked to an additional 105m and Moana to an additional 81m.

So it’s possible for Wicked still but far from a guarantee and would need to hold onto theaters through January

Nosferatu is looking great! And Chalamet getting ACU to 100 would be impressive.

ACU has A cinemascore. It should have a good run as should Nosferatu. Presales look good for tomorrow as it was capacity constrained. ACU was crazy strong in NYC area and will continue to do well.

Sonic is having awful holds so far. That said Charlie is saying it could increase today which may not happen for other movies.

I believe family films hold better post Christmas day than adult skewing.

Nosferatu and Complete Unknown should have the worst holds today. But I expect even they will hold fairly well.
