Cabrini
Cabrini opens in 2,840 locations and seems like its set for a breakout. It's apparently already has $20M+ in presales.
How big will this be OW and total? Can this pull mini A Sound of Freedom?

Re: Cabrini
I struggle to see the subject matter being that popular to watch.

Re: Cabrini
I want to see it. Think it will do well for a Christian film, teens opening and 50-70 domestic but no Sound of Freedom

Re: Cabrini
It's going to be a hit ($50-80m). Catholic Christian audiences are looking forward to it and it is about one of America's canonised saints + someone integral to setting up major hospitals, schools etc.

On X (Twitter) someone had posted that but definitely worth taking with a grain of salt!

Re: Cabrini
That is definitely fake based on deadline number. Quote: In fourth is Angel Studios’ Cabrini, which I’m told by the distribs’ reps “is not a Catholic-skewing movie.” Go figure, but my mom would be the first one in line. Booked at 2,840 theaters, it’s looking at an estimated $3.6M today and $9M-$9.4M for the weekend. Not sure about weekend extrapolation. It can go higher and with A cinemascore could have a leggy run.

With good WOM and walkups the weekend multiplier should be higher. That said i get what the distribs may be saying - the film is more secular a d religious than most Catholics and other Christians may like.

Re: Cabrini
it barely did over 10m and deadline is now saying 62% drop this weekend. Even if that is slightly off, I am not sure its even making the 20m in total that presales implied :-) Angel Studios site is now saying it sold just under 1m tickets at this point.

Re: Cabrini
It’s not really a crowd pleaser it’s a fairly dry historical film so not surprised after seeing that it’s not doing well

Re: Cabrini
I totally got this one wrong. I do believe interest was high in various circles, but early poor WOM really hurt it. Certainly, did around people I know. From what I hear - cinematic quality is good, but it's not religious enough for Catholics/Christians and not appealing to non-religious.
