We haven't really seen a girl movie like this hit $100M since Twilight, but I can see it. Barbie and Oppenheimer is being pitched as a battle of the sexes and I think both movies will benefit from it. Right now I predict Barbie at high 80s and Oppenheimer mid 50s. |

Fuck it I'm in. The new trailer has really blown up, and I've had two different group chats that rarely talk movies share the trailer with genuine excitement. It'll at least get closer to $100M than I ever would have considered a couple months ago. |

I think the tiktok crowd is gonna get this to a huge opening. Every trailer something has gone viral. Like how Minions did huge #s with the help of those tiktok trends of going to the theater in suits. |

I'm still feeling better about $350M+ than $100M+ OW as zeitgeist movies pick up steam but it's definitely turning into a massive event. Would be something to see Mario+Barbie lead the year with IP starting from the 50s and 80s. But I'm in just because the buzz is so hard to ignore. |
