Welp. If this does get made I don't think there'll be much support for it.

What an absolute shame. I liked her and the four main leads had something good going. As long as Jenna remains they can always throw money at Nev to come back.

It's a mess, but if they do turn around and say that Melissa is not actually fired because the studio has listened to the fans and respects their wishes ... Well that'd be the equivalent of changing the design of Sonic the Hedgehog would it not? While the new generation of moviegoers is very unpredictable, we do know that they like to feel involved in the production and marketing of the films. They like to think that their voices matter.

So if Scream 7 releases without Melissa and Jenna it will bomb worse than Scream 4.

However ... if everything ends up working out and they bring the entire cast back, including Neve Campbell and Patrick Dempsey (maybe even David Arquette and Jamie Kennedy for a flashback) then this movie is gonna wind up being a monster hit.

Yeah this is a goner without Jenna and Melissa. All the good will built up with the last two films - gone in 60 seconds.

The nonsense excuse about Jenna's "scheduling conflict" is laughable.

I don't really buy that in the 2 year gap between Wednesday seasons they can’t find enough time for Ortega to film, or at the least do one scene where she gets killed off.

Nah that's a pure lie and scheduling has nothing to do with it.

Obviously, Jenna didn't want to be in it now that Melissa is out.

Hopefully, this goes dormant and someone else other than Spyglass aquire the rights - bring the Scream 6 cast back in a couple of years and follow up with an 8th and final film that includes Nev.

That would neatly close out the series.

Apparently Melissa & Jenna were only signed on for 2 movies. They completed their contracts & were going to renegotiate for bigger pay. So studios are doing what they do when they don’t want to pay actors. #fuckedup

Agreed. Nobody cares about Neve coming back. That train passed years ago.

They really ruined this franchise. It was at its highest peak since the original. They were right not to bring Neve back. Jenna and Barrera were perfect. Neve should have been saved for a later sequel when fatigue started to set in.

Maybe they can bring Jenna and Barrera back?
