Lol, there are no new wide releases this week. An expansion of Spoiler Alert to 600 theaters, a limited launch of Empire of Light into about 100 theaters, and the limited launch of The Whale in 10 or less theaters probably.

Hopefully the Whale can finally beat EEAAO's PTS record for the year

Everything Everywhere should keep that record I think. I don't see The Whale breaking it.

I don't think so. EE was heavily hyped up and played into the multiverse angle post Spidy so well with Yeoh doing a tour de force.

The Whale is getting a lot of buzz but think it will take people time to discover it with less rush out factor. If it was a return of Kate + Leo or something maybe but some of these Oscar movies are really not doing great business out of the gate.

I believe they'll wait until Oscar nominations but they'll definitely do it.
