Great pick

Air is a good pick but is it getting a proper theatrical release? Or will it be limited with streaming or simultaneous?

So really it is limited. Would that not count it out?

It's getting an extended theatrical release from Amazon Studios, so whether its gross will be reported and whether that means two weeks instead of one, who knows.

Why would that count it out? Limited releases are allowed to be chosen in the draft. I think it only gets scrapped and replaced if there's no release (i.e. goes to streaming or postponed to next year).

Anyone else want to weigh in on Winnie the Pooh?

Last year we had limited theatrical releases, such as the Avatar and No Way Home re-releases. They stayed in cinemas for 3 and 5 weeks, but were not planned to do so. They extended their runs. Avatar was meant to be 14 days, which isn't far off 8 days.

Ok, I guess as long as grosses are reported, it counts

Shazam! Fury of the Gods scared off 65. Now opening a week earlier alongside Scream VI.

65 should move into summer. That's when people want their dinosaur fix.

Transformers has that monopoly this year.

June 23 would be a good date. It's two weeks after Transformers: Beast Mode and two weeks before Insidious: Fear The Dark.

I think late September-early October would be a good time for 65. Maybe 29th September would be my choice as I feel 65 is more a horror dinosaur flick than a summer blockbuster type.

Even April 21st would be better. Or alternatively - an August or Sep/Oct slot might work.

The film looks like it has genuine interest but will be killed in March.

I didn't read your post but yes Sep/Oct would certainly work better as it does indeed feel more horror than adventure.

Would be a shame to just dump this in March and hope for the best.

Heart of a Lion - my last round draft pick opening April 28th has now been renamed to "Big George Foreman" and has a trailer just come out.

Looks like it could do decent numbers. I hope so anyway.
