Women Talking is likely to be a bad box office performer whenever it came out. So the low predictor gets the credit for it. |

The Whale and Women Talking were supposed to come out Dec 9 and 25th respectively when I made this thread. So technically I could have used their limited release numbers on those dates, if I was being a purist when it comes to the release dates. |

In the future you should refrain from including movies that are not guaranteed a wide release. And, while we're at it, let's set the parameters for wide release at 1000 theaters instead of 600.  As for this month, you gotta include Women Talking and I'd say just take it's highest weekend from December? Seems like the only fair way to go about it. |

My take would be some of these movies that were originally listed as wide get downgraded because they're not going to do box office. So the lower predictors should benefit. Mike's Women Talking prediction is clearly better based on its likely abysmal hopes at box office whenever it goes "wide". |

Right now Mike wins if we count Jan 20 as Women Talking's opening weekend, if it expands and gets enough of an Oscar boost on 27th weekend to give Algren the lead, I may declare it a tie. However if 27th isn't high enough to make a difference, then Mike wins in either scenario, so Mike will be the winner. |
