I mean it’s multiple will be on par with bullet train and nope but those were summer releases.

I guess the midnight being frontloaded was predictable. Probably costs me the Sept/Aug game.

Looks like Harry is making DWD frontloaded, but its still a terrific number. Film had everything go against it yet turned shit into gold.

Also, I thought Avatar would be close to $3M for the whole weekend. Shows how much demand the series has, especially to be seen in 3D. Maverick is definitely not safe even as it continues to hold excellently.

Fantastic for Barbarian too! The expansion worked and word of mouth continues to be great.

DWD sales are awful here today. I think it might come in under estimates. Definitely was mainly Harry fans going.

I actually think DWD would have benefited from opening the weekend after Venice when the hype was hot. Almost felt like old news by the time it actually released.

A pop star can only get a poorly received movie so far. I'm holding on to my below $20m prediction.

Yeah I think it's going under 20 too. Saturday and Sunday won't be kind.

I hope it holds well but we’ll see. If not, I hope it can at least break even internationally and such, I really like Olivia’s directing just from Booksmart alone and hope she has a big future in Hollywood

I was exactly the same. Shocked how large its Friday is. I forgot Rule #1; never underestimate Cameron.

But I think Maverick is safe.

Not bad for it.

The Woman King has a very impressive drop!

And just $2.5 million left until The Rise of Gru is the highest domestic earner in the Minions franchise. Fingers crossed it does it.

Barely higher than Woman King. Will probably do sun 60m domestic. Mediocre

Surprised multiplier was so bad but I guess makes sense given there was a rush to see it.

Rooting for Pearl to pass X. Hopefully it holds well next month. Bullet Train will hit 100m, good run.

Honestly with the true friday I don’t think it dipped too bad on Saturday tbf, my 9:00 showing last night didn’t have very many people in it, ~10 pretty much besides me so I was honestly expecting worse. I do hope it breaks even in the end with international and such

Good hold for Pearl. Should crack 10 Million.

Everything Everywhere is so close to 70 Million.

Wow frontloaded much? Basically performed like an anime film. :funny:

Strong drops for holdovers. September has been better box office than most of us expected.

It's been in the shadow of TGM's 18 weekends in the top 10, but Minions 2 has held impressively well. It's now at 13 weekends in the top 10. For comparisons sake, DM1 and DM2 spent 6 weeks there, while DM3 and Minions 1 spent 7 weeks there. Less competition but also a lengthy run.

In TGM news, it made $5M overseas and is now at $1.472B worldwide. $28M away from $1.5B. Perhaps another $8M domestic so needs $20M more overseas. It's closing in on it as it's last big milestone but should squeak by.

Barbarian is killing it with its drops, just so annoying that the gross started so damn low.

The only way it doesn't make it is if it gets pulled from release or they stop reporting for it.

It could get there as early as Thursday. The little movie that could.

The Avatar re-release eclipsed the No Way Home re-release in just three days. That's how you do a re-release!

I guess it will finish with around $20 million, which is a nice indication that people will still very much turn up for The Way of Water.

Oh it will definitely make it. That's why it's been hanging around in theaters. They're trying to get it to that milestone.
