Trailer killed at my Jaws IMAX showing. It faces an uphill battle as a live action comedy but it stars big names and has a funny trailer. Thinking between 15-20m OW and 70-80m total

I think it should do well. Wish it were coming out next weekend. Looks like a ton of fun. I miss when movies like this used to release in theaters more often.

I think it will be a hit. Have read many comments online of people wanting to see it (mainly over 40's).

Anything over $60m total would be great, though I think it will edge higher.

Clooney and Roberts unite for what would have been one of the biggest movies of 1997 - Ticket to Paradise.

Reviews say its good, I am sensing a big breakout as people continue to seek the comfort of the past.

I could see a $12 million opening, $45 million total.

Burger King is a better name than McDonald's. Pepsi is a better name than Coca-Cola.

But zwackerm had the Ticket to Paradise prediction thread patent, lol.

This movie makes me think of Geico so I guess all those commercials worked.

It’s fine we’ll here in Oz though it’s a market more receptive for these types of films.

Still - $25m OW wouldn’t surprise me

At this point we can just assume it's going to be a big hit because Rev has it in his draft, lol

I want to see this and I never want to see comedies. Will max out the potential for an original live action comedy post covid I think

Already at $31M overseas. $40 million budget reported. Earned $11.1 million this past weekend with a bunch of #1's. Feels like a good sign for domestic.

It should go over $25m OW. A big success considering the budget.

I wish Gere wasn't blacklisted since a comeback romcom with Roberts would be cool

I can't think of this movie without getting the name wrong. My mind forces me to call it Trapped in Paradise.

Yes! Feel it can far surpass Lost City.

That's way too high of a bar. If you made it an $80m club, maybe. I still see it doing $45 million, but hope for a billion ;)

It's a major hit here on Oz (where Rom Coms tend to do better). It will be the equivalent of a $130m hit in the US.

I'll join because I see it opening over $25m and eeking out a $100m gross.
