Black Panther will obviously be huge with probably at least 450m.

Looking ahead to 2023, Ant-Man 3 should increase from 2 with the hyped up appearance of Kang and MODOK, but probably still won't do 300m. GOTG Vol 3 probably can at least match the second film if not increase to over 400m. The Marvels will probably be the big loser, as no one really likes the first Captain Marvel. Probably will still do 300m but WAY down from the first.

Black Panther did $700m domestic. I see Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doing minimum $450m

The first Ant-Man did $180m, the second did $216m. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will definitely top them all. I see it doing minimum $250m domestic.

Guardians 1 did $333m, Guardians 2 did $389m. Thinking Guardians 3 will top $400m minimum.

Captain Marvel did $426m domestic. Thinking The Marvels will top $350m. Wandavision & MsMarvel has helped it gain more fans and I'm sure they will all want to see the characters on the big screen.

BLADE should top at minimum $200m domestic, when it's released in fall of 2023.

Post Re: July 8-10 Predictions
The poster katnisscinaplex (from Box Office Theory) has come up with some interesting predictions based on the $29 million preview for Thor: Love and Thunder.

previews: $29 million
True Friday: $40.5 million
Saturday: $43.5 million

I'm estimating a 32% drop on Sunday from Saturday (just like Eternals)
Sunday: $29.6 million

So if katnisscinaplex and I am right, Thor Love and Thunder should have an opening weekend of 29 +40.5+43.5+29.6 = $142.6 million. It appears that those of us predicting under $150 million in the poll will be on the money.

She is extrapolating off a very small regional sample. Its ok for previews but for friday I would hold off on projection. Thor had very good walkups yesterday(did better on final 2 days than DS2) and so we have to see where it ends up. 40m sounds like a reasonable target but it could go up couple of million(or bit lower). Plus Sunday drop in July during OW should be softer than what you are projecting. As its Summer for chrissake. Movies dont drop 32% in summer. Even with mixed WOm I see 20% drop at most. PLF/Imax tend to hold strong and they tend to dominate BO these days.

They need to release a trailer for BP2, but the rumored plotline sounds pretty cool.

Spoiler: show
Namor and Atlantis attack Wakanda.

I do wish the MCU would go back to teasing the next movie in the credits scenes rather than introduce new characters that won't turn up again for five years. I dunno how or why, but it's all Harry Styles' fault.

Top Gun: Maverick is now up to 45 days over $1 million, which is equal to The Force Awakens. Up next is The Avengers, which it should also reach. I wonder if it can reach The Phantom Menace.

It’s still shocking how big Incredibles 2 was and how under the radar it’s run was.
