Harley might be risking overexposure. She's been all over for the past... 8 years or so. She's a cool character, but would be a distraction from Joker, I think. This will be an interesting one to follow. The first was huge, of course, but I feel its reception was largely mixed (maybe slightly positive), which contradicts its performance. |

They should keep HQ out at this point. I think this will blow-up over $400m. The first one is generally beloved among mainstream audience. |

Me and Poison Ivy will be really sad if Harley goes back to being the Joker's girlfriend. Isn't that why Punchline was created? As for performance, probably another $300M grosser with a much bigger opening and much worse legs. |

If its as good as the first one, this has $500M+ potential. It was universal acclaimed by audiences and critics as an R-rated non-special effects character drama that surpassed every expectation on it. $96M OW kept going up and up from initial tracking. Was the first R-rated movie to ever pass $1B, surpassing Deadpool. Net profit on the movie was $437M. Had a nearly 3.5 multiplier on its way to $335M domestic. Lots of people discovered it after theaters too so kept going. Won Joaquin the Oscar and had 11 nominations. It's going to be massive. |

I liked Harley in the first appearance but didn't her movie massively disappoint before the pandemic? $150M expectations. Birds of Prey did $33M/$84M/$202M WW Feel she's been all over and there's a need for a cool down period for something new. I'm fine just seeing Joker in a room for 2 hours as a character study again. |

Omg!!! Gaga as Harley sounds crazy. Can't believe it's actually happening. This might open with more than The Batman if the hype is as big as I think it'll be. The musical aspect sounds nutty but maybe it'll work? |

Joker in the vein of Raging Bull and Scorsese piece sounded out there and we know how that went. A twisted musical sounds bonkers but I'm interested! Maybe they'll try to do One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest type inspired film but a musical version. I never thought in a million years this could be a musical but Gaga + Phoenix are super intriguing. Walk The Line showed his chops on the music front so this is definitely going to be another watercooler event (and highly likely will probably get Gaga at least another Oscar nod or win). |

While Gaga should be fine and welcome - I think HQ has been overexposed of late and no longer novel. And yes while it all sounds intriguing - being a musical will hurt this immensely at the BO. |

I still think Todd Philips is trolling us. I wont believe this movie is happening until phoenix signs on dotted line. Joker broke out almost everywhere it released. There were several markets in Europe it even beat Endgame. So there is potential if it does happen. |

A musical with Gaga as Harley sounds even more tryhard and pretentious than the first one. Might as well cast Jared Leto as Batman. This is an easy pass from me. But I'll sure the box office will still be good. |
