This could've been a bigger hit with a star in the lead role. As it is, I expect a similar performance to Rocketman rather than Bohemian Rhapsody. Maybe 30m OW and 100m total. |

This may get a lot of older audiences back in the theater maybe. Idk how I feel about the trailer but hopefully it's good. If reviews are at least ok I can see an opening in low 20s and then if it's well received decent legs. |

Hopefully Downtown Abbey gets older moviegoers back a month earlier. The trailer is being shown with every screening of Death on the Nile. I think older moviegoers will return gradually, there's no reason to panic yet IMO. |

Trailer is really good, I watched it several times. If there's any interest in an Elvis biopic, this will maximize that potential. |

Calling it here now, Tom Hanks will win his first Oscar (supporting) since Forrest Gump here (he got Covid during filming this too). Looks very good and will do very good on coasts and heartland. Could see $150M+ here. |

Reviews start out solidly at 83% 7.1/10. Too bad this film has a 45 day window as it will probably have legs. |

Feeling cautiously optimistic about this, thinking a $70-90 million total. Elvis is still an icon, reviews are good enough, marketing has been pretty intense, and this is probably WB's main push for the summer (I don't know how hard they're pushing Superpets?). |

I feel like it has to do significantly better than Rocketman, which had no hype, did nothing but ride the coattails of Bohemian Rhapsody, and still almost grossed 100m. |

tracking is minimum 35m. Thinking the Luhrmann name is a draw as well as the topic and Hanks, and reviews. Hoping for a Gatsby sized performance |
