Just check Dwayne's social media. All he cares about is building his brand as a loving and gentle family man. I much prefer the Dwayne of 2003, even if his films were smaller, they were better. Not to play devils advocate but it needs to be said:

Black Adam making $67m on opening weekend, in hindsight, is fucking excellent and a huge testament to the power of The Rock. Black Adam is an absolute no name hero with zero drawing power. It was 100% sold on The Rock.

This isn't 2016. DC isn't fresh and theaters are still largely recovering from Covid. In 2019. if one had said film 1 for BLACK ADAM will make exactly 50% of what THE BATMAN makes, most would have said that was a very solid, borderline great, performance for film 1. DC is walking away from a serious box office draw if they truly move on from him.

Yeah Black Adam's opening was solid, idk why people were saying it wasn't good.

The Rock is best as supporting actor to me. He has no classic movies as a lead but that's half action movies not being as popular as they were.

57M OW for a 200M budget film is just not good enough. Of course whether the film itself was at fault or it was a classic case of WB budgets being insane is entirely debatable.
