Re: Avatar 2 final total predictions I think the monster legs are the most assured thing about it, because if you don't see it in theaters, you have completely missed the trick and the point. It's meant for the theaters, like OG Avatar and Gravity.

I have no doubt Avatar 2 will be great but I don’t think it will have the shock and awe effect that the first film enjoyed. We are more used to Incredible Experience films and I wonder if many will opt to wait until it hits streaming.

Re: Avatar 2 final total predictions $880M. Won't have enough repeat viewings to top Force Awakens, but the lack of competition until mid February will give it excellent legs anyways. Plus, as mentioned, Avatar is a completely different experience in theaters v at home. You can't just wait for Disney Plus.

The only way it fails that if it opens sub $140m.
