Holiday weekend... 1 opener.

I'm gonna go with $24.5m for the 4-day for Scream. Hopefully it does more! I could see Scream winning Friday but Spider-Man being #1 for the 4-day.

For 4 day I definitely don't see why not. I think it might for the 3 day.

Any recent tracking for this? I’m pretty excited myself as I’ve always been a huge Scream fan, but I was also super excited for the 4th one and thought it was going to do super well and we see how that turned out..

Scream is getting good reviews, but I also see stuff like this:

"This clever, heavily meta picture has fun both mocking its own existence and trying to find enough twists to justify itself."

So it really is just Scream 4 all over again? I liked Scream 4 a lot, but again I'm just baffled as to why part five is tracking so much better than it.

I guess I'll find out in 45 days when it streams on Paramount. :hahaha:

Deadline is saying 20m+, tracking over at BOT zeems to indicate something higher... I just can't fathom how now this would do 30m+ for the 4-day but who knows. Sales in my area don't seem particularly strong.

This is what I’m worried about. I enjoyed Scream 4, but it had very little for general audiences and the franchise needs to expand beyond that if it wants to continue. So far, the reviews are much better than Scream 4, but the early reviews always are from horror fans so I expect it do drop some. I could see it settling around 70% or so.

I see it reaching around 30m or so for the 4 day, I think that nostalgia for the 90s is much higher than 2011. This series should be on Netflix or another streaming service to get some more interest. I think only the first two are on Peacock and the last two I had to rent.

This is doing quite well with sales per BOT.
