Looks like AYTGIMM won’t even manage high single digits. Sad.

Still waiting on Magnus to burst through the metaphorical window of the internet like the goddamn loop-aid man to slap us all with a big fat “Mother of God”

Re: 4/28 weekend
The Covenant, Beau is Afraid, Renfield and the Pope’s Exorcist should be the big theater losers next week. Which gives D&D a chance at 2 more strong holds and a chance at 100m by the time Fast X drops.
Evil Dead has a chance to sell more tickets than the 2013 film with a hold like that. Good for it!

Re: 4/28 weekend
Here's where Mario is at on its way to top animated movie (unadjusted) of all time:
13 Incredibles 2 $608,581,744 14 The Lion King $543,638,043 19 Mario $496,017,480
Passed Dory this past weekend to reach #3. Is also now in the top 20 films of all time.
Here's where Mario is at for original movies (unadjusted) all time:
4 Avatar $785,221,649 9 Titanic $674,292,608 19 Mario $496,017,480
Looks very, very unlikely at this point Mario will be able to catch Titanic so looks set in its position as #3 highest grossing original film of all time domestic unadjusted. A staggering run considering it only took 4 weeks for it to get there behind only James Cameron's films.
Here's where Mario is at for animated movies (adjusted) all time:
10 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs $997,168,333 12 One Hundred and One Dalmatians $914,076,766 20 The Lion King $815,540,983 24 Fantasia $759,709,619 27 Mary Poppins $715,233,167 34 The Jungle Book $674,048,285 35 Sleeping Beauty $664,864,273 38 Shrek 2 $649,997,317 45 Pinocchio $616,627,856 49 Incredibles 2 $606,527,181 55 Bambi $582,862,273 60 Finding Nemo $563,413,831 63 The Lion King $551,852,167 2019 64 Cinderella $551,657,308 79 Finding Dory $513,753,018 83 Lady and the Tramp $509,881,443 94 Mario $496,017,480
Shrek 2 would be a good goalpost, ranking it #8 for animated films. Also random observation, given how much $ the original Pinocchio adjusts to, interesting how Disney's reimagining of it is a Disney+ feature. Feels like a harder sell to today's generation I guess.
