Trailer released this morning. Has a good cast but looks derivative. Opens over Presidents Day weekend. For now I'll say 35/110 |

I don't really like Holland as Drake, he is too timid, but the movie looks fun. The airplane scene doesn't happen until the third game, so I guess they're just blowing their wad here? I mean I don't blame em for that. In the video game adapatation world, sequels are never guaranteed. And it means we get Chloe early too! Still, I wonder how David O Russells adaptation would have turned out. Or anything featuring an older Drake played by the one guy the entire fanbase always wanted - Nathan Filion. |

This feels like a rare video game movie that will break out. It has a National Treasure vibe and will be playing in front of every showing of Spiderman 2 months earlier. Would not be shocked by a mega breakout. |

Trailer looks like a good action movie though the story and characters look uninteresting. The pirate ships being airlifted at the end of the trailer was bizarre but intriguing |

The trailer got a good reaction both times I saw Spider-Man. This looks like it'll be the exact type of fun escapism people will be looking for as (hopefully) the Omicron wave starts dying down. I originally had this at $35/90M, but now think it'll go over $50M opening, possibly as high as $70M. |

America needs celeb worship to heal so hopefully Holland and Zendaya become A listers and he either puts a ring on it or Chalamet steals his girl creating tabloid drama |

A lot of action in the trailer comes from one scene I'm wondering if it has only few big action scenes in it. I have no idea how this will do now after Spidey though I don't see a substantial increase in opening (Russo brothers didn't enjoy a bump) but perhaps Holland could, we'll see. I'm still thinking $100m total would be great for this. |
