If it was capable of hitting $90M I don't think they would have "leaked" the Cavill news. Still think right around $60Mish, with some good legs until Black Panther opens a few weeks later. |

I see big billboards for it everywhere but don't see or hear much buzz. That said will take the kids (who prefer Marvel to DC but are now binging the Star Wars films) to see it just because it has been a while since we went to see a film (Superpets). |

I really think the RT score will be the difference between say $50-60m and $80-90m. It is The Rock and he has always been very walk up heavy. We'll see. |

I wonder if it will do inflated numbers because of the news that Superman is in it. Although I hear it's only in the post-credits scene, that hasn't stopped DC going all out with this idea that he's in the movie in a main way. People will be disappointed if they think he's really part of the movie only to find he's nowhere until the credits. So it might attract people on opening weekend, then die afterwards. This might also indicate a certain level of worriedness on DC's part, the fact they felt they needed to leak this. Even if he was in the movie proper, can anyone really see him coming out on top? Dwayne Johnson has to win in every movie. I even expect Black Adam to become a good guy by the end. He'd probably be all pally with Superman doing fits bumps and chilling at a BBQ. |

Superman vs Black Adam in the sequel could be big! I wish they had the balls to make Black Adam a true heel for the Justice League to beat but most likely it would be frenemies who tussle a few times before going after a bigger threat. |

Black Adam now has the same RT score as Halloween Ends - 39%. The difference is that Adam has a much better audience score, 90% to 57%. |

Hey Venom had a 30% and part 2 opened higher. The 90% audience score can't be overlooked. It'll be enough that whoever he is paired with in part 2 should also see an increase. While I'm no defender of DC movies, I find most of them lackluster, it seems half the professional reviews tend to have some sort of pre conceived bias against them. A good example is Thor and Aquaman are about the same quality wise, have a similar audience score, yet Rotten Tomatoes gives Thor 77% and Aquaman 65%. Captain America and Man of Steel have the exact same audience score of 75%, and CA has 79%, MOS 55% in professional reviews. And I love the consensus on them: CA is an old school blockbuster, MOS can't overcome feeling like a generic blockbuster, lol. CA is a lot more cliche than MOS. |

It’s funny how much I don’t trust review sites anymore I use to care a lot about IMDb, RT, cinemascores, etc. I just feel like they have moved from a source to a novelty at this point. More than half of reviews are from people like us at this point. Non bias is definitely in the minority now. I mean 60% fresh is an F where I’m from. I never understood the rating system. Some people seem to think fresh means B or higher. |
