Venom - 58 Million Addams Family 2 - 14 Million Many Saints of Newark - 4.5 Million I hope Venom does as much as possible. The box office needs another hit. |

I am upping prediction to 10.5m previews and low 80s OW. PS is off the charts past week trending higher than BW and its doing well across the board. |

Our IMAX shows are nearing 75% capacity. Can't say I expected that. |

Previews are looking even stronger as shows have started. Thinking closer to 12m than 10m at this point. This is playing similar to Joker couple of years ago though that was uber strong in big markets and did not so great in other areas. here NYC is ok(sub SC) but many other markets are way higher and overall is 30% or more better than SC at this point. Even Canada seems super strong from reports. But its a holiday over there and so thursday will over index for Canada. Still OW > Venom 1 will be super impressive for this movie during these times. |

... wtf lol The IMAXs around me are looking pretty full, which is a great sign as usually those are less full as people opt for Dolby more. The Dolby I'm seeing in a couple is full. |

Walkups have been super strong that bodes will for the weekend. PS for Friday/Saturday show no sign of being frontloaded. I am upping to 90m at this point. Let us see how things go. |

90m would be kinda mother of god and may be even more impressive than Shang-Chi's OW. Let's see... but 90m seems to suggest this will beat Shang Chi. Exciting. |

Its final day run was explosive better than any movie in pandemic era(F9 had best walkups previously). I am thinking previews will finish in 12.5/13m range. In fact at cinemark it finished better than BW while it did 95%+ at AMC. Of course it crushed BW in Canada if I am not wrong Ontario market was closed during its release week(that is 40% of overall market). If walk ups are anywhere close for tomorrow I wonder if it can do something special. Let us wait and watch. |

I know people love Venom, but I just can’t believe it until I see it. This movie had So Much going against it and nothing but its title to counter all the negatives. |

It would definitely be more impressive than Shang-Chi and absolutely MOG. I just don't see how it's possible. How can it open even higher than the original in this climate? Most shows were very well-attended here though. Especially the premium format ones. So it should certainly do well. If it does I feel like Universal is going to be kicking themselves for not just making Halloween Kills a straight theatrical release. People will still go to see big movies. |
