So how do you think this upcoming month will go?

Will Spiral open with more than 10m?
Could A Quiet Place and Cruella both open with more than 30m?

AQP is going to blow past GvK's number. It is one of those movies whose original had great WoM and built up more audience. It sort of also feels timely with the pandemic.

Quiet Place 50m
Cruella 30m

who does Cruella appeal to? The trailer rankles and bores me. I’m hoping it opens <$10m.

I'm wondering if Those Who Wish Me Dead could be a leggy breakout. Sheridan's three big original films (Sicario, Hell or High Water, wind River) were all breakout platform releases, and Yellowstone has quietly beoame one of TV's biggest hits. This seems to be in a similar wheelhouse to all of those, and has Jolie doing her first real for-adults movie star turn in over a decade. Assuming it's good, I could see Spiral opening at #1, and then TWWMD holding strong and taking #1 the following weekend, then hang around for the next few weeks as more sequels and IP titles open?

People who kidnap and skin dogs that want to see themselves positively represented on screen?

How about all the people who have the same thoughts after WFH with their spouses?

Props to Steve, I don’t think I’ve heard anyone use rankles in a sentence this century.

Is Cruella too dark to be a fun family movie for these times? I can't see many people rushing to see it but could be wrong since family movies have done well.

I wish they had gone darker. Making Cruella DeVille into a sympathetic feminist figure is so weird. She skins dogs!!!

The schedule does not mirror normal years but if this holds then expect July to get stacked soon.

I think Emma Stone is going to be a draw in Cruella which is why I see it doing well.

I'm expecting Spiral to open in high single digits. If it does double digits then cool but idk. No idea how that Angelina movie does, maybe $6m?

I'm gonna predict A Quiet Place will open in the 30s, Cruella in the 20s. Would be nice if they managed to do 60m+ combined OW.

A Quiet Place is gonna max out what’s possible with limited capacity. I’m predicting 50m.

Sounds like Cruella is a good movie but not super kid-friendly, which I love. Hoping it does well.
