I'm out for now, simply because I'm not sure a Quiet Place sequel was ever gonna do $150M+ - people loved the first one, but I didn't really feel a clamoring for a sequel? However it might end up making more money than it would have in a normal market, simply because by the end of May people will be starved for a theatrical horror film experience (or at least non-Saw fans will be).

I do hope it does well, simply because Paramount has had a monumentally awful 12 months selling off their Oscar players and tripping over themselves with the Paramount+ launch.

I definitely expect this, and if it was released in "normal" times. I could see 250M+ (the first one was loved, and this one looks to have a much larger scale).

Yes. The WOM for this will be out of this world.

Think of IT part 1 level WOM. I don't know how far it'll go in this pandemic but it will be THE film to revive movie theaters. Fuck Cruella. Disney Gon get beat up by Paramount right here

I think it’s performance shows that the film could have flirted with 250m in normal times.

I think $200m-$225m was the range but I don't think it would have done $250m in normal times. Anyways this was a great call Magnus :thumbsup:

Yeah I think it could’ve done 60-65m 3 day opening, and done 200m ish total.

I think we all under-estimated just how popular the first film was to be honest (and that the reaction to this film has been quiet good which has led to its solid legs given how frontloaded other films are being).

Not saying 250m would have been a lock, but I definitely think it clears 225m easily in normal times and flirt with 250m if certain things went its way.
