Jack Sparrow: I was asked to update the first post of this thread this week, but didn't get to it. Would you like to edit the post and update the total at some point in the near-ish future for me?
I haven't seen an updated total in recent weeks, especially for the individual markets, so you may just have to use the most recent figure posted above at $508.5 million (from 2 weeks ago).

Don't expect much from India. Even home-made animation movies do not do very well at BO there though they do very well on streaming. Anime though has been catching up in the market though not at a speed where it will make much.

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL - #1 WW Film of 202
Has anyone kept tracking the performance of Mugen Train recent weeks? Exactly like what Corpse predicted, Kimetsu left some hallmarks during the Tokyo Olympics: On Sunday, the Olympic's Closing Ceremony ended with Gurenge. https://youtu.be/l-mQGMMUAdEAlthough Gurenge is more energetic than Homura, the latter is more suitable than the former due to its popularity and lyrics "Thank you and Goodbye,...." Additionally, Kimetsu was advertised in the Olympics by both foreign and Japanese athletes: Alexa Moreno, a Mexican gymnast, used Demon Slayer Corps theme during her performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0Qlc6R ... ekielThapaMarin Honda, a talented Japanese skater, appeared on ice as Kocho Shinobu: https://www.instagram.com/p/CSJzu3wFKWg ... =copy_link

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL - #1 WW Film of 202
Does anyone have a glimpse what the final global box office of the movie until this point?
It is quite disappointed that Aniplex did not say a word after the milestone of 52 billion Yen. Sony even bragged about how financially successful the company was in their 2020's annual financial report thanks to the unprecedented achievement of the movie.

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL - #1 WW Film of 202
Japan added another $1.7 million to wrap up its run after charlie's update back in July, so that takes it up to $513.2 million as a bottom line official figure.
From there I think it's just going to take someone estimating what it earned from any territories that it opened in during May/June where it may have still been doing numbers in, but more importantly (as I would expect the holdovers figures to be very low), trying to estimate or find numbers on the few markets it opened in through the rest of July and August.
Maybe around $515 million?
