The first was crap, so I just want to say this one flops. But trash has proven to have an apetite at the box office, and it's that certain brand of garbage that just might appeal to people's escapism. |

l enjoyed the first one though was also annoyed by how much they changed from the book. Selling yourself as an underwater Jurassic Park is a good idea. And there aren't any other monster movies this summer. This movie should do well, like $35M / $100M thanks to a mostly empty August. |
