Lol at that Excel prediction. It will open BIG, but I kind of agree with Algren that legs won't be great even if it turns out to be good. My early prediction is 90/200. |

I can see this surprise like Avengers and do $150m OW, this is the first time after all for the clash of these titular monsters in an American movie the legs though won't be much like $310-$325m total. |

Yeah had they made Kong a bigger EVENT I'd probably be more inclined to agree with a $100M+ OW, but I just don't know yet. Godzilla 2 also needs end up being really awesome, because they still haven't established this version as a badass and in order to get general audiences excited about Kong v. Godzilla they need to go all out in King of Monsters. |

I don't see how this will open to "just" $100m with Kong getting great WoM and Godzilla'14 doing almost $100m. I am thinking this will do bigger OW wise and falter later. Kong's comparatively smaller OW helped its legs for sure. |

5-day will probably be over 20m. Idk if it'll beat WW's 3-day but with some Regal theaters reopening it certainly could. |

Well that's dumb. I cancelled my Dolby tickets for Wednesday to change my seat but I guess because of restrictions most of the Dolby screenings are listed as sold out even after I gave up my ticket. Ugh lol |

$100M+ weekend in China and the overseas audience seem to be satisfied. I think this would have easily doubled King of the Monsters domestically, possibly even tripled. |
