TMNT - $150M+ Club
Apparently the new TMNT is fantastic. I thought about making this a $150M+ club but will start at $100M. Looks like it could breakout, especially to serve families along with HM.

Don’t see why not.
The 2014 film was surprisingly huge in its day. A 35/125 run shouldn’t be difficult with an empty august.

I hate the style of this movie, the other animated film was great so maybe that adjusted.

Re: TMNT - $100M+ Club
I dislike the animation, but Spider-Verse is all the rage so this will probably do excellently even though I think it looks tired. I went no in the poll though.

Re: TMNT - $100M+ Club
Def in, and also in for a possible $150M club. Probably the only movie left this summer with a shot at crashing the seasonal top 10. It's the last PG film until Paw Patrol 2, so it's basically the last appeals-to-the-entire-family film until, like, Trolls 3? So yeah I think legs will be strong and aided by good WOM.
Opening: $33M ($45M 5-day) Total: $152M

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
Upped to $150M.
96% fresh with 57 reviews.
Sensing a breakout here and should serve family audiences well over the month.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
I think both it and Trench will pass $100m but it will have legs to get it to $150m so IN.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
Looking at presales, its doing well today and tomorrow(also sold bunch of tickets for saturday sneaks) but beyond that presales are anemic. Its going to be driven by WOM and walkups. Could go either way with Barbenheimer mania still at crazy level. For now I would stay out of this.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
TMNT Tuesday # is only 2.25% down from it's Thursday # last week. Seems like WOM could be starting to get out. The weekend drop should be interesting. Already at $52M off of a $4.8M Tuesday.
$150M is TBD but should be just under $80M by the end of its second weekend.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
Won't make 150, but with a reasonable 70 million budget it should be pretty successful

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
To be fair, it started as a $100M+ club which will happen but then migrated to $150M+.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
I think if not for the strike and the MEG 2 taking up oxygen this would have happened. As it is, if it crawls to 120 million, this will have gone down as not necessarily a bad a call.

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
International numbers have been awful, it’s actually probably going to end up losing a good amount of money because of that

Re: TMNT - $150M+ Club
Paramount is projected to make $1B+ in toy sales JUST in 2023. I don't think Paramount sees a theatrical run as the big money generator here so getting the brand exposure and $120M+ total will be enough to keep the toys rolling.
