There's this Legend of the White Dragon movie coming out later this year. I believe it is a Kickstarter-funded fantasy film. Could be an interesting film to follow. I hope it does well. EDIT: Forget it, it stinks. I just saw the trailer. I hope it doesn't even get a release. Michael Madsen and Mark Dacascos also feature, lol. |

Universal has moved Wicked from Christmas to Thanksgiving - Nov 27, 2024 They will instead open Jordan Peele's 4th film on Christmas Day - Dec 25, 2024 (5 days after Avatar III and Sonic III) |

Sonic III needs to stay in the Jan/Feb/Mar corridor. It's done so well there. They are getting a bit greedy putting it during Christmas time. Feels like when Disney pushed Narnia 2 into May thinking they could match the original and it flopped instead. Sonic should still do well as a family film but its a high risk play against Avatar. |

Yes I tend to think Sonic should move to February. Though I suspect Paramount is looking for some of that Avatar counterprogramming $$$ that Puss soaked up. They will get some of it, but the strong Puss legs are also because the film is loved and there hasn't been any competition for it. |

There are many examples of sub-par or just good (not really loved like Puss) movies legging out nice grosses in that slot, such as the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies. It's a much better date than the Feb/Mar time. |

So someone at Cannes said Oppenheimer is coming out end of year so twitter is going along with it being delayed but idk... I'd wait until it's officially announced Edit: lol yup Variety clarified it hasn't been delayed |

Deadpool 3 delayed to 05/03/24. Captain America 4 delayed to 08/26/24. Thunderbolts delayed to 12/20/24. Blade delayed to 02/14/25. Fantastic Four delayed to 05/02/25. New Jedi Order delayed to 05/22/26. Avengers 5 and 6 delayed to May 2026 and May 2027. Probably just the beginning of a ton of 2024/2025 releases getting delayed due to the strikes. |
