Not a lot of releases, but the people who did show up made their efforts count. Cleveland's own Cloud Nothings were my favorite of the month with yet another impressive album full of raw energy.

Not too strong of a month, but luckily we still had the February trio to keep us satisfied throughout the month. ADTR's album was the big disappointment, even though the first half is solid with good songs like Last Chance To Dance, but the second half is weakkk. Evanescence kinda saved the month though. Even with the weird mixing, it still went way above my expectations.

Past Albums: Fallen (A), The Open Door (A), Evanescence (A-).

So, technically my "least favorite" album, but barely so, and just a couple average songs on a new album after 10 years is more than satisfactory. First physical CD from a non-symphonic metal band I've bought in several years. And due to the mixing, I can't wait to hear these performed live. It's going to really help a lot of them.

Fallen is an A+, in my all time top ten, Open Door an A (like a B on first listen and grew on me A Lot)and EV3 is honestly like a C+. WYW is the only song that I really like on there no matter how many times I listen.

Since Fearless is old, I'ma give album of the month to Eric Church for the first part of his double release. Hopefully the rest of Typhoons will grow on me, cause it does have three really great bangers.

edit: Typhoons is already growing on me. TC, Oblivion, Typhoons, Boilermaker and Mad Visions are are all jams and the rest are fine. Still gonna let Eric Church keep his album of the month trophy though.

The Black Keys' blues cover album might be a little bit better, but I'll give it to Peturbator for having original songs and an original sound. Was hoping Ayron Jones would take the title this month after the promising singles, but most of his debut album was meh.

I was mostly catching up on the bands from Riotfest this month and found quite a few winners in there like White Lung and Meet Me @ The Altar. There's also stuff like Devo on there which has put me in an 80s mood and might have inspired a new FF.

Some minor disappointments with three of my favs in Staples, Eilish and Current. Bs aren't terrible, I just expect As from these people.

Luckily L Devine came off the top to end the month well.

And yes, I was finally seduced by G4U and gave the Olivia album a chance ... and didn't really like any of the other songs. :funny: Her voice is good but they're all just generic sad girl breakup songs ... Other than G4U which is great.
