What are some good songs from your least favorite genres?

Sicko Mode by Teavis Scott. I hate rap, especially trap rap. But that song is so good it transcends genre preference.

This song is what country is good at. Good storytelling, heartbreak.

Don’t listen to classical but this one got me

I’m cool with metal if it has poppy hooks

First thought is definitely The Outsiders by Eric Church (song and album.) I would just dismiss country music immediately before this came out. And while I still would not call myself a fan of the genre, without The Outsiders I would have missed out on Kacey Musgrave's Golden Hour, Maren Morris' Hero and Zach Brown's Jekyll + Hyde - all of which ended up making my top ten albums of their respective years.

Also, not a genre, but MGK's "Bloody Valentine" proves that anybody can make a great song, no matter how awful their discography was before.
