I taped SNL and watched it so I could fast forward through the commercials and musical guest's performance, so I didn't know what happened. I started playing the tape in the middle of the band's "solo", and I thought it was Good Charlotte playing some instrumental. I assumed they came on the show to support John Kerry or something
Once I saw the ending, it all came together.
This is why I rarely watch the musical performances
