Hope her new album has more than one fast song on it this time. G4U is so awesome but I still don't like any of her other songs. :funny:

Cruel Summer is randomly in the top 40 now. Is the Eras tour finally giving it the recognition it always deserved or is this gonna be the summer version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You"?

I've heard it a couple times on the radio this week.

And the Top 10 has been almost the same for like 3 months now. 4 were in the top 10 were there back in February, and 3 since January.

When we complain the movie charts are boring, feeling the music charts have gotten far too static. It's crazy to see 5 months later how much overlap there still is in songs.

Yup and while Vampire is gonna shake things up next week, it'll probably be in the top ten until the end of the year when the Christmas songs take over.

You would think that the streaming era would have really diversified the charts but it never did. Even with the options to listen to literally any song at literally any time, seems like most people would still rather just listen to the same ones over and over and over again.

Thank goodness this is the final week of Wallen at #1, but still pretty sad that it was the song of the summer. And have there ever been two country songs in the top 2?

Well if there's going to be a country takeover they could at least give us some female songs like the 90s

Apparently Last Night has a chance to beat Vampire :grrr:

If Last Night beats Vampire it would only need 5 more weeks to pass Old Town Road right?

Le sigh.

It's crazy that four people wrote Last Night.

I know that a lot of modern music has an army of writers, and there's probably more simplistic songs out there with even more people involved, but sheesh. I would think writing/producing a song with so many hands on it (and not even the singer themselves like in this case) just makes it seem like you're releasing a product versus art/music.

The pro songwriters can write some iconic bangers sometimes (eg. Max Martin's Backstreet/Britney/etc. smashes in the 90s, Rihanna's singles, etc.) but listening to their albums is genuinely never going to be as interesting to me as someone with their own distinctive songwriting voice and POV on the world. Of the country guys in the top 20 recently I definitely like Zach Bryan the most as at least he is a real songwriter type guy and is known for choosing artistic integrity path over selling out to the "country machine".

Cruel Summer. :funny:

3 new songs in the top ten is a win though. Lets keep it up.

I hope I never make a decision as bad as picking You Need To Calm Down as 2nd single over Cruel Summer

716k for Speak Now. Red landed somewhere in the 600k range but I can't remember exactly where. Also pretty sure that she now has three of the top four openings of the 2020s.

Hoping I Can See You can take #1 too but I'm expecting Wallen to move back up.

Yep Wallen gets week #14.

Taylor did get the 3 songs from 3 different albums milestone though!

I still have not heard this Wallen song. Crazy.

Taylor charted 4 albums in the top 10. Her success will probably never be replicated. Just insane.
