 Billboard chart discussion thread
To talk about...y'know, the charts.
"Roar" has knocked "Blurred Lines" off its #1 perch on the Hot 100 after 12 weeks on top. This is Katy Perry's eighth #1 song.

Blurred Lines was overplayed the second time it was played.

It is amazing how every second- or third-tier single Perry drops goes to number one.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Even though I've warmed up to Roar a little it's still trash. I'm quite disappointed in how Applause is doing but oh well.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Crazy that Royals is a top 3 song. And that Lana Del Rey almost has a top 5 hit.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
It would be great if LDR went to #1. Hopefully it ends up being at least top 3 song. SS is awesome.

Reign of Roar. I do think Beserk would have debuted there if it had a full week.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Miley is on track to get her first #1 with "Wrecking Ball" this week. "We Can't Stop" and "Party in the U.S.A." both peaked at #2. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/ ... ce=twitter

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Amount of video views is insane. Poor Gangnam Style, the Billboard streaming rules changed right after it became huge.
