Also Britney is worth over 60million dollars, how can a womam that was literally the biggest thing since Madonna and work her ASS off cannot enjoy her own money? The kids thing is a bit overblown I feel, she already has 2 kids, but other than that, her freedom has been undeservingly tied in many ways and that's a crime. She may have really needed that conservatorship back in 08 for a period of time it sounds like, but obviously she should have been freed from it a long time ago already. |

Isn't she "obligated" to do these performances? None of us really know all the details here, but it's hardly a stretch to assume many people took advantage of her mental state many years ago (just like parents and managers do with child stars, so she's experienced this all throughout her life) in order to get a lot of money out of all this. Perhaps she does still have issues that could limit or prevent her from engaging in certain activities, and perhaps she and this whole thing is fairly evaluated every so often, but what are the chances that no one has abused the system here to make some money? She said she'd like to take two or three years off (but can't under this), and if she does manage to get out of it, I'd be in support of her leaving the spotlight for good, honestly. Go get married, have another child, and enjoy that life and forget dealing with anyone with expectations or control ever again. Her whole story is pretty sad. There's always been someone handling her and controlling what she's done since she was what, 12, even younger? It's basically all she's known. There may have been a brief time period in her early 20s where she was "free", but all the troubles that come with being a child star of course sent her into a meltdown soon after and back into a comparable situation. Not saying she never made poor decisions of her own, but it's just sort of expected and unfortunately normal for people in her situation to mess up, and people often take advantage of people like that, knowing they'll make mistakes, report them to the court/therapist/etc., in order to keep them under their control ($$$), etc. |
