It's so fun to drive to!!!!
I just went to Jamba Juice for lunch and played it one the way there and then on the way back. I couldn't help but move around in my seat like a tard.

I like it. Though it a bit weird at certain parts. I'm sure it will grow on me.

Wasn't too keen on the song yesterday morning but it's grown on me.
I really want to hear the full version of Mannequin, though.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
oh and i have to say critics and general response to this song doesnt look like its as hot as it was for Gimme More, even though its obviously getting huge, heavy airplay and generally good response, this is going to divide people a lot more, and i personally dont think its nearly as good as Gimme More.
ill probably be eating those words in a months time.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
WOMANIZER gets its itunes release a week on Tuesday.
CIRCUS NEWS
Someone who worked with Max Martin, producer of such Britney hits as Baby one More Time, Oops i Did it Again, Crazy and Stronger, has come forward to say the new Martin song selected for Circus is the producers best song to date. And as anyone familiar with pop music knows, Max Martin's legacy runs through nearly every major artist of the 90s/early 00s biggest hits, including Kelly Clarkson's big hit Breakaway.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
well i mean ME AGAINST THE MUSIC was from the same album that spawned EVERYTIME, TOXIC, BREATHE ON ME and TOUCH OF MY HAND.
MATM was a LOT weaker than Womanizer.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
I really like Me Against the Music. My least favorite first single by Britney is Oops!... I Did It Again. I was in absolute love with it when it came out, when I was 11, but it does not hold up well today. But yeah, MATM would be my second least favorite. Britney has always had strong first singles.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
I hate Britney Spears... let me just say that up front.
But I listened to the song, and while I still don't like it, from an outside perspective (of someone who doesn't really like a lot of pop) it's a good comeback single because it's relatively devoid of vocal tricks (weird beeps and clicks) and the producer has actually made her sound "fresh". It's simple but I think it works.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
I don't see any growth from Blackout. In fact, when I heard it last night at the disco, I thought it was some Blackout song I forgot or some B-side...
it's pretty decent though.

My Perogative is one of my favorite singles from her, rather one of my favorite songs. It seems underappreciated.

I'm so glad the Womanizer music video is being directed by the guy that directed the Toxic and Stronger videos. Yaay.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
To be honest, Britney doesnt need to change the Blackout sound. Blackout worked very well as a CD, and there is talk of Circus essentially being an extension of that sound but with more variation on it. That means there will be the banging anthems from Blackout but, as many songwriters have said, something a bit different there too.
The fact she has involved a very wide spray of producers here from all different stages of her career and some risky unknowns too also bodes well.
Just like Pink's SO WHAT sounds like an IM NOT DEAD hit, WOMANIZER sounds like a BLACKOUT success.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
Exactly. I think that's the best thing she could have done. If it was to drastic she would have lost even more of an audience but Britney has never been one for taking time off and coming back with an "artistic" cd so I don't know what everyone was expecting.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
I think it's a really good song.
I mean, it doesn't quite take me back to those days when I danced around like a maniac to Britney (with Toxic, I'm a Slave 4 U, etc.), but it's about on par with "Gimme More," which grew on me significantly. I also actually liked both "Piece of Me" and "Break the Ice" quite a bit.

I still think Break the Ice and Radar were both better than Piece of Me and Gimme More.

Re: Britney Spears - Circus // Womanizer Released
blackout had very good sales legs if i recall correctly; it was pretty well liked amongst people willing to look past britneys mess of a life at the time.
it lacked a real anthem though.
