Dashboard Confessional isn't nearly as bad when...

1. You're not watching a music video.
2. The band isn't "in".
3. You don't have the perception that "emo" is synonomous with screaming.
4. The volume isn't THAT loud.
5. You focus on the lyrics.

I know this is a stupid thread, but, I listened to a copy of their last CD yesterday. I was never into the "emo" thing, but, hey, I...kinda...liked it. There. A Confession.

In particular, "Hands Down", "Carry This Picture", "Ghost of a Good Thing", and "So Beautiful" were appealing.

I guess a "Britney Spears isn't nearly as bad when..." thread comes next. Or, you think it will.
