Out of those choices I'd pick Texas Hold Em Poker slightly over Risk and Monopoly just because those games take so long to play and you don't get any real money when you win.

Ticket To Ride is the best board game. Rummy is the best card game.

I don’t like Poker but I effin love Euchre! like a good Michigan boy.

Not a fan of chess, checkers, backgammon, Monopoly, or Risk. I do love Ticket to Ride and especially Settlers of Catan.

Poker and other card games (Rummy, BlackJack, MaoMao,etc.). If Scrabble was up there I might have had to think about it.

Love poker, don't know how to play chess (well), never played backgammon, checkers is only fun for a short while, but I love board games too, and prefer them over poker which is great when you're playing for something, but otherwise it's not as fun. And between monopoly and Risk, it's Risk for me because of the strategic element and free flowing board.

I'll give chess a vote here. I like Risk but haven't played it in a while. Monopoly is a little too luck driven for me.

Vote Reservoir Dogs narrowly over Basterds, though a lot of these could use a rewatch

Hard to vote with many not having seen for a long time, I'm just going on feeling here and vote Kill Bill 1.

same and same. I do know my favorite QT are clumped together— top 4 are Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2. Downhill after that streak for me.

Close between Reddit and Twitter, I post opinions more on reddit but I enjoy consuming other people's content on twitter more, so I think I'll vote twitter, I really cherish some of the accounts I've followed that have helped shape my view of the world, and there has been so many good memes over the years. I quit facebook like a decade ago, too many people who aren't really my friends but I still care what they think about me more than strangers. Instagram is mainly for creeping new crushes or long lost loves though I rarely post my own pictures.

Instagram is the best. Beauitful women, concert announcements and cat memes are all I need from my social media.

Reddit is good as a forum, but I also feel like I have to delete the app at least once a week to avoid getting into a back and forth with some idiot or another.

I used to like facebook alot, but the pandemic kinda ruined it. All these people who I thought were normal turned out to be kooky conspiracy people. If I have to argue with an idiot, I'd much rather them not have a face. It is my favorite Messenger service though, beating out Snapchat (though I do like that snapchats photos are deleted after 24 hours and don't take up any space on your phone.)

Twitter was dumb before Elon bought it and is even worse now. Half of the world's controversies stem from one person's shower thooughts getting reposted over and over. And then you have cunts like Ben Shapiro who are all like "people are starting to really like this Caitlin Clark ... I guess its up to me to bring her down" and X lets them feel like very special boys as they do it. Just the worst of the worst.

what were results of the last few polls?

This is a good one, Shack.

Reddit’s by far the most enjoyable for me, I can spend hours on it easily, engaging with a wide variety of content and interests, from the trivial, fun, hilarious, to sexy, or fascinating, to deep matters of the soul and world (and everything in between). It feels the least empty / trashy to me of all these, more engaging and even educational(ish), although too easy for me to spend too many unstructured hours getting lost in it. I’m late to the party on this one thiugh as I think I first downloaded the app maybe only 2-3 years ago.

God help me, I look at Facebook multiple times a day but it is so goddawful trash as a social media site now, 19 out of 20 posts I see are garbage rage bait or AI generated nonsense or thoroughly irrelevant advertisements. I don’t know why I still use it outside of feeling bonded to the form from a younger, more impressionable age of internet exploration (around the same time I bonded with BOM forums that led to my inexplicably persistent connection to WoKJ). Occasionally I’ll post some passionate or poetic musings from the heart about life / the world / my human experience to share myself and feel validated by people it resonates with, which is cool. But there’s also something weird about the audience including everyone from parents to former lovers to people I barely remeber existing from high school.

Instagram appears and seems great, easily the most appealing by appearances, but I avoided getting it for a long time so I haven’t developed a strong relationship with it. I’ve posted only one pic, have shared two stories ever, and can pretty easily not open the app for weeks. One thing I actively dislike is the reality-distorting impact of everyone sharing only the most beautiful and amazing moments of their lives— which tends to almost immediately make me feel jealous / insufficient, like I’m behind in life and “everyone” is doing better than me. It feels like the ickiest of the “showcase and glamorize my life to make me feel better / others feel worse” dynamic of social media, almost insidiously so like it’s by design. That said, the algorithm knows I’m a deep feeler and lover as well as holistic therapist type, so I’ve gotten a bunch of little gems of wisdom and solace at helpful times. And there’s some hilarious shit on here too, there’s a few videos I can watch any time to get a gut-busting dose of laughter.

Never used Twitter and no desire to ever.

I don't have too many ideas right now but we'll try this war movie poll.

My vote is for Apocalypse Now which is in my top 5 movies overall.

Damn, like same level hard as the Tarantino poll. I think I gotta go recency bias (as in film I saw last) and go with Apocalypse Now.

Full Metal Jacket. The boot camp is unforgettable, and yet it still has time to hammer in the point about the futulity of warfare, especially in Vietnam.

I still haven't seen Deer Hunter for some reason though.

I really don’t like war movies apparently, only seen one of these (Saving Private Ryan) and that’s not getting my vote.

I only really like the calendar audition type format so I'm not sure which category to vote for, it would feel wrong voting for professional because the true porn star type videos do nothing for me. I guess most of the "amateur" porn is pros pretending to be natural as much as the the calendar/bang bus/etc. type girls, so the latter should count as amateur. Homemade always sounds better in theory than when you see it. Overall porn should be better but people's taste in it is bad.
