The menu is a good film but clearly it’s sets were not on the level of the other nominees lol. Shows it’s going to dominate the categories ahead lol

All Quiet ended up winning by 3 votes, but Decision To Leave was hanging with it for awhile. I'm still bummed that RRR missed out here, but I partly blame myself for not watching more foreign films and thus being able to give it more points.

Also, Babylon lost Art Direction by one vote. Wakanda was two behind.

Next up with be ... Scariest Horror.

We all love horror, but they are rarely able to get into the top awards in any award shows for some reason. Thus why we created the Scariest Horror category. Not necessarily to award the best movie that is classified as horror, but one that gave us the most nightmares. Here are the nominees for Scariest Horror

Barbarian
The Black Phone
Nope
Scream
Smile

I aint no wimp but that scene where she is walking down into the secret basement within the secret basement is never going to leave my mind.

Nope was only one vote behind.

Next up will be Funniest Comedy

Actually lets do Most Overlooked first before I forget (again)

and the KJ goes to

The Forgiven

Does this violate the rules I set for most overlooked? Yes. Was it the only movie that got more than one vote? Also yes. Does it have Jessica Chastain in a bikini, having sex on the beach? Hell yes. So we're going to allow it.

Next up, for real this time, will be Funniest Comedy

:funny:

Laughing together is another one of those charms of going to a theater that you just can't capture at home. It's why all the highest rated tv sitcoms used to have laugh tracks before the internet collectively decided to ban them.

Here are the nominees for Funniest Comedy

The Banshees of Inishirin
Bros
Glass Onion
The Lost City
Triangle Of Sadness

And the KJ goes to...

Is it really overlooked if people knew it existed and chose not to watch it because it’s an irrelevant film?

I liked Glass Onion more, and think it deserves the win, but actually voted for Triangle here just for the dinner scene. Triangle ended up 3 points behind though, cementing its disappointment status despite the fact that everybody on this site apparently loved it.

Next up will be Best Animated film!

Despite Disney trying its best to take animation out of theaters, we still ended up with a very solid crop of films this year. Here are the nominees for Best Animated

Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe
Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish
Turning Red

And the KJ goes to..

I know that saying a Pixar film winning a KJ award was surprising seems silly. We love Pixar. But Puss In Boots absolutely wiped the floor with it during the nomination process. How the turn tables turned during the winners voting though, as Turning Red stormed back and actually doubled Puss' vote count.

Next up will be Best Editing

I've always though that what you look at is more important than what you look like. Cameramen seem to agree. Here are the nominates for Best Cinematography.

They also did the cinematography for Oblivion so this is a long overdue win. Batman came in second but was three votes behind.

Speaking of; I am on track 18/29 - "An Im-purr-fect Murder"

So we are making good time. Lets go with Best Stunt Ensemble next!

Don't forget to tip your stuntmen. These AI are trying to put them out of work with their computer generated computer-generated-imagery. So here are the nominees for Best Stunt Ensemble.
