I'm already frightened just reading the list of our nominees for Scariest Horror.

Barbarian
The Black Phone
Nope
Scream
Smile

Just Missed: X (1 point), The Menu (2 points)

It both amuses and frightens me that The Menu nearly made both categories! :hahaha: :whaa: :noway:

Next up will be Best Sound. I can hear them already.

Tar
Top Gun: Maverick

I've never been one to care about dressing up, but its a good thing that other people or they wouldn't have been able to make the characters in these movies look so damn good. Here are the nominees for Best Costume Designe.

Babylon
Elvis
Everything Everywhere At All Once
Glass Onion
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Just Missed: The Batman (4 points)

Robert Battinson will have his justice for this snub. Who would win between Battinson and Shuri's Black Panther?

Next up: Best Art Direction

Art Direction is a fancy way of saying set design. And apparently no one can decide what makes a set better than another as we had 29 unique movies get at least one point in this category. :funny: Here are the nominees for Best Art Direction.

Avatar: The Way of Water
Babylon
Elvis
The Menu
Wakanda Forever

Just missed: Everything Everywhere All At Once (1 point)

Babylon already with 2 noms? Didn't expect that.

Next up is Best Visual Effects. One of my favorites!

The Batman
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Top Gun: Maverick

Just Missed: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (1 point) , Nope (1 point)

I definitely like those choices! Saw all of them in the theater as it should be.

Next up is: Best Makeup

The things you can do with makeup are kinda crazy. You don't even need movies to show you that, just look up anybody's (well mostly girls) instagram and watch how people change through time. These are the nominees for Best Makeup

Babylon
The Batman
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Elvis
Everything Everywhere All At Once

Just missed: The Whale (3 points)

Batman doesn't wear makeup. He was born with black eyeliner. :bat:

Next up: Best song

There really weren't any high profile musicals this year, so our nominees here are big time celebs. Hopefully they show up to perform at the winners ceremony. These are the nominees for Best Original Song.

Aint Worried About It by OneRepublic (Top Gun: Maverick)
Carolina by Taylor Swift (Where The Crawdads Sing)
Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga (Top Gun: Maverick)
Lift Me Up by Rihanna (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)
New Body Rhumba by LCD Soundsystem (White Noise)

If anyone cares, I'm currently listening to Chamber For Sleep, Pt 2 by Screaming Females.

More music up next with best original score.

No love for Nobody Like U? Tough showing for Turning Red as it could have made comedy too.

Movies always get called a visual medium, but they're so much more than that. Obviously or we wouldn't love them so much. Here are the nominees for Best Original Score

The Batman
Everything Everywhere All At Once
The Fabelmans
Glass Onion
The Menu

Just missed: All Quiet On The Western Front (1 point) , Top Gun: Maverick (2 points), Babylon (2 points)

There were three more films tied at being 3 points behind. Very competitive category.

Next will be: bEST eDITING.

Our eyes are basically cameras which means that these cinematographers are making us through camers through cameras and in some cases through other camerias. Wild shit. Here are the nominees for Best Cinematography.

All Quiet On The Western Front
Avatar: The Way of Water
The Batman
Glass Onion
Top Gun: Maverick

Just Missed: Babylon (1 point)

I'm still bugging out.

Next up will be: Best Foreign Language

Parlez-vous anglais? Here are the nominees for Best Foreign Language

All Quiet On The Western Front
Argentina, 1985
Close
Decision To Leave

Just Missed: Alot of movies

This one was very scattered. Surprising about a few missing out, but I don't think it would have affected the outcome. Guess I should probably watch some of these or I won't be able to vote lol.

Next up; Best Documentary

There are no nominees for Best Documentary. Only one single movie showed up on any ballots so therefore the KJ goes to:

Wildcat

Grats on the big win Wildcat.

Next up is Best Animated. Another one of my favorites!

So many people work so hard on animation. And we had 17 different animated movies get votes this year which is way higher than last time I did this. Very glad to see it prospering. Here are the nominees for Best Animated

Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe
Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish
Turning Red

Just Missed: The Bad Guys (1 point), Marcell The Shell With Shoes On (2 point)

Some surprises in there, ya? Breaks my heart that I still haven't seen Puss In Boots. I promise I will before voting.

Next up: Best adapted screenplay

Actually, before we move on to the big awards, I've got a surprise. We have an exclusive new scene from the Super Mario Bros movie to show. I've been told that it convinces people that this film will be a surprise contender next year. Let's check it out!

Wow looks amazing! I totally approve the recasting.

We'll be right back with the award Mario will surely be winning next year, Best Adapted Screenplay!

The Batman
Elvis
Glass Onion
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish
Top Gun: Maverick

Just missed: Bones and All (1 point), The Bad Guys (2 points)

And now lets hop on over to the other side of the pen with best original screenplay!

What is more difficult? An original or an adapted? Is it an unanswerable question? Here are the nominees for Best Original Screenplay

The Banshees Of Inishirin
Everything Everywhere All At Once
The Fabelmans
The Forgiven
The Menu
Triangle Of Sadness

Just Missed: Turning Red (1) , Nope ( 1 )

I guess there was another tie lol. The Forgiven sneaking in here might be the biggest upset of the nominations ... so far.

Next up: Best Stunt emsemble*

These people put their lives on the line to entertain us. Its a crazy thing to do yet where would we be without them? Here are the nominees for Best Stunt Ensemble

Avatar: The Way of Water
The Batman
Bullet Train
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Top Gun: Maverick

Just missed: All Quiet On The Western Front (2 points), Jackass Forever (3 points)

I thought Jackass would be able to pull that one off but they fell short. Still a great set of nominees though!

Next up is Best Acting Ensemble

Chemistry don't come easy. Here are the nominations for Best Acting Ensemble

The Banshees of Inishirin
Everything Everywhere
The Fabelmans
Glass Onion
The Menu
Top Gun: Maverick

Just Missed: Triangle of Sadness (3 points)

Well that's the last time I promise no more ties. Better double check my math beforehand next time. Though have an overcrowded ensemble category does feel right for some reason.

Now its time for Best Supporting Actress

Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)
Hong Chau (The Menu)
Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All At Once)
Kate Hudson (Glass Onion)
Janelle Monai (Glass Onion)

Just Missed: Nicole Kidman (The Northman - 1 point), Jennifer Connley (Top Gun: Maverick - 2 points)

Alright its your turn, supporting dudes.
