I never liked Friends all that much but must have watched The Whole Nine Yards a hundred times when I was younger. RIP.

RIP. Read his book earlier this year and it was really heartfelt. He seemed like a very genuine guy who had finally turned a corner. I do think his book will make a difference. Made Canada proud too. Very sad.

May he RIP

He was my favourite Friend too. Sad that he hard a time all these years. This doesn't shock me sadly.

The great thing about Friends was that my favourite was different each week. Chandler was my favourite as a child, as was Joey, then I finally rested on Ross. Phoebe was never my favourite, but I had the hots for Rachel and Monica as a child before finally deciding on Rachel.

But yeah, huge shock that Perry is dead. I knew of his substance/drug abuse past but I thought he was past it all. At least we have all those Friends episodes and his movies to enjoy him over and over again. He played Bing in every role I've seen him in, lol, so not necessarily a "good actor" but a damn good sitcom actor and gag deliverer.

Andre Braugher of Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I didn’t get into the show but he was definitely the best part. Seems like he was in some other stuff before that people like too. Bad year for 60 year old-ish black tv cops.

Tom Wilkinson, 75

He was always a nice addition to a movie

Yeah. He was good in action films (usually as a bad guy) in films such as Rush Hour, The Patriot and Batman Begins, but also in other types such as In The Bedroom and The Full Monty. He'll be missed.

This doesn't hit as hard as I thought it would. He's basically done nothing of note for 37 years, lol. He's basically been dead this whole time for me anyway. But he was GREAT in Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV and Predator. Might be the biggest fall from the heights for an actor ever.

Yeah, I think that was the thing, he had some great supporting roles, but could never lead something himself and in the end had a bit of an obscure career.

I think that goes to Hitler or Mao.

But this being a story is totally ignored by major media, I feel. I only found out about it from this thread, and I check news throughout the day from various sources.

That's interesting because I found kind of the opposite, at least I open(ed) both ESPN and CNN in the morning of and it was the biggest article on the site.

Eh those are genocidal massive large-stake killers. I wouldn't include terrorists like Bin Laden in this group either. As for just plain ole normal murderin OJ has be tops even over all of the most famous serial killers. Rittenhouse is quickly climbing the ranks, but his appeal is limited beyond being able to kill people and get away with it. By the end of it he will be tier 2 or 3 along with Casey Anthony and the Menendez Brothers. OJ had the whole massive celebrity before the murders going for him.

OJ is more famous than Lee Harvey Oswald right now but in the long run LHO will end up more famous

Hmm, good point. Lee Harvey definitely has the most famous murder, but he himself was murdered before the trial, which is a huge part of OJs story.

Agreed, Jack the ripper is by far the most famous, so famous he has become like a mythical figure but he actually existed.
In 100 years the average person will not know who OJ was.

Hasn't it been pretty much established that "Jack the Ripper" was just a bunch of rich dudes killing their prostitutes?
