Vote untoasted/folded one piece. With a layer of butter and a layer of peanut butter on it is probably the most common thing I've eaten in my life.

Haha, I love how specific the choices are.

And variation is the answer that really takes the cake, and that goes with almost any food choice really. But the best way to make a home sandwich, untoasted, two pieces of bread.

I go untoasted over toasted, it's just easier, but of course there are spreads that work better toasted.
And two pieces of bread over one, because one is hardly ever enough for a small meal or even just a snack. But then I have to say, I regularly just eat a single slice, with or without any spread, just because I want to eat something. I love bread btw.

There's different answers depending on what type of sandwich. Cheese? Toasted. PB&J? Not toasted. Italian? Not toasted. Hamburger? A little toasted but not too much. Hot dog? Toasted bun with mac n cheese, bacon and froot loops (Cleveland style.) Taco? hard shell.

Untoasted two pieces 2 - Toasted one piece 1 - Untoasted one piece 1 - Toasted one piece 0

#30 was favorite washed Pixar movie but I decided again there are some non This or That thread readers who'd want to weigh in

This one is kind of lame but I always loved the 90s run of female singers in the above choices (HM to some others I only know 1-2 songs of like Joan Osborne, Paula Cole, Sinead, etc.), I think it's because they feel like adult women.

My vote is for Sheryl who I listen to multiple of her albums while the rest I like 3-4 of their songs each.

I'd not heard of Jewel before but I've just heard some of her songs. I tried searching for her biggest hit, but I listened to a few and I didn't recognise any despite one apparently featuring on the Batman & Robin soundtrack. She has a great voice, though, and I feel I already kind of like her music. I could see myself listening to more. She feels like the sort of artist that would've fit in well on the Crossroads or Coyote Ugly soundtrack, and benefitted greatly from it. She also reminds me of Anastacia.

"Who Will Save Your Soul" is a nice tune with her quite amazing vocals.

Easily Jewel, always liked her music, Intuition, Hands and Foolish Games are just great songs and I don't care for any of the others at all.

As for the others, Sheryl Crow feels like the GOAT of this particular niche; the one the rest probably look up to. "Every Day Is A Winding Road" is a very iconic tune, as are a few of hers. But I probably like "Soak Up the Sun" the most, out of her most popular songs anyway. Or, well, there's always "Tomorrow Never Dies", which to me as a film lover can't really be topped.

On to Alanis Morissette; my mind instantly goes to Curb Your Enthusiasm episode and Larry letting out the secret to her song, "You Oughta Know". But her hits are much more mainstream, in my opinion. As opposed to be linked with a country music, and thus are more in line with my taste. "Hand in My Pocket", "Ironic", "You Oughta Know", these are just great songs. But it doesn't stop there; "Head Over Feet", and "Uninvited".

Sarah has "Sweet Surrender", which is a lovely tune. However, where Sarah excels over the others is her collaboration as a featured artist with the electronic act, Delerium. "Silence" (and its various remixes and updates) is an absolute classic anthem and not a day went by without me listening to it in my teens, particularly Fade's Sanctuary Mix. It is better than all the previous songs but it's just one song, and she only provided the vocals. Delerium created the magic.

So, for the poll, tough one, but I go Alanis.

Out of those Alanis. Jagged Little Pill is a very good album. McLachalan should only win a poll for best music to pair with images of sad dogs.

Where Fiona?

Feels too hipster/arty for this group and less tied to an era.

I always liked the idea of her more than the real music.

I think bald looks solid on men, but I don't think it's for me. Give me the mullet.

Genetics will force me into one of these eventually, so I'd go bald prematurely.

I’ve rocked all three at different points :funny:

Frosted tips then bleach blonde around 6th grade (Abercrombie & Fitch / Eminem idolization)

went Bald in high school (swim team state meets)… not my look

and then in my pandemic era and currently growing out a mullet faux-hawk fade. I don’t understand the mullet comeback (or the mustache renaissance) but I’m totally here for it, they’re a sexy look on guys. although some mullets are gross admittedly.

I prefer long hair that I put no effort into styling whatsoever. So mullet would be the closest thing.

Just on the female singers - probably have to go with Alanis because she made such a cultural impact in 95/96 and have many memories listening to Jagged Little Pill. I mean it was the biggest album of the 90s wasn't it?

Sheryl Crow is great too. All i Wanna Do is still feel good awesome and Winding Road is another classic.

Jewel - still have a soft spot for her and her hauntingly beautiful voice - Foolish Games, Who will save your soul, My Hands etc

Sarah I didn't know as well outside of Delirium which was a huge club track back in the late 90s and like Algren was high on replay back then.

All are great. But I would have gone Alanis.

As a kid in the 80s I had a mullet lol. They were everywhere back then.

Now my kids want mullets and fades.

Myself - no chance but to go bald. I've shaved my head for over 2 years now and it works and is much easier to maintain :funny:

1. Beat It
2. Smooth Criminal
3. Black or White
4. Man in the Mirror
5. Billie Jean
6. Thriller
7. Human Nature
8. Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'
9. Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough
10. Bad

Top 2 are the most fun to listen to me while I think Beat It has a little more to it, love the masculinity theme. Even 7-10 on the above list are still really good, though.
