Valiant effort by the Cavs but hard to beat Irving and Durant in one game when they're on

:( But at least the Cavs can hold their heads high on the way back home. Could've easily thrown that one away after the disasterous first quarter but they gave themselves a chance.

Towns did everything he could to deliver the Clippers the win, but home court energy was too strong

With news of Curry’s return, I’d like to make following changes (I don’t think play-in results affected these picks)

First round:

Phoenix
Memphis
Golden State
Utah

Second round:

Phoenix
Golden State

Conference finals:

Golden State

NBA Finals

Golden State

Looked promising for the Cavs but they left the door open too much for Young, and I think they should've played Love more minutes

Will be hard for the Raptors to compete with Barnes and Young injury, and Trent having a non covid illness (out for game 2 and affected him in game 1? He was terrible). Harden looks content being pass first rather than needing to score a bunch of one on one points, which is probably good for them since Maxey can take over the scoring role

Although I picked the Clippers to be the one to upset them, I was right that Grizzlies were vulnerable, now they will be forced to win a game in LIT Minnesota arena

DeRozan is really bad in the playoffs

Suns REALLY need to get their shit together. I know Booker is hurt and that's 26ppg you have to make up, but they're losing 11 points per quarter every 3rd quarter. It's nuts. They're mostly shooting the ball fine (besides from 3, which good god), so they just need to play harder. That's really all there is to it.

With Doc "has blown three 3-1 leads" and big game James Frauden on the other side... first 3-0 comeback in NBA history, could it be? Probably not, but if they were healthier Raptors would be leading 3-2 right now or headed for another backdoor sweep.

Miami and Philadelphia level of play seems to be lower than the other three 2nd round series. Boston or Milwaukee makes the finals.

The Mavs are pretty good for just being Doncic, two other guys who can dribble and 3pt shooters

It's hard for me to believe that Harden once scored 36 points per game, he seems to barely like shooting

Conference final prediction:

Boston over Miami in 6
Golden State over Dallas in 5

Boston and Miami are similar teams however Boston has the It factor right now whereas Miami did two years ago, it feels like Boston has half the best defenders in the league and really good chemistry passing to open shooters. Celtics D was great against Durant so Butler likely shoots poorly.

Dallas achilles heel should be that if you play smaller lineups against them on defense to protect 3pt line, they don't have big men to post them up or rebound. Warriors loved playing Harden Rockets for this reason, while Doncic is better than Harden ever was it should end the same way.

That Phoenix game will go down as one of the worst rollovers in NBA history. Atleast Milwaukee had the Middleton injury as an excuse.

And now we're probably gonna end up in the worst timeline with Boston and Golden State in the finals.
