well at the time of this writing Astros are leading in Game 4, if they can pull it out, if it an entirely different series.

Mr. Doe, that is a big possibility esp since Clemens will pitch one more time in this series.

If I were the manager, I'd save Clemens for Game 7 on regular rest. Clemens didn't pitch great against Atlanta on 3-day rest, and Oswalt is running out of gas, and if Clemens loses Game 6, having him coming back on 3-day rest will be even more riskier.

That's exactly what he'll do... Munro's pitching the next one, and if needed you have Clemens for No. 7... Can't get any better than this...
If there is any pitcher ever you do want to have in Game 7, it is Clemens!!!

It's official now:
Astros pick Munro, rather than Roger, to pitch Game 6 of NLCS
By BEN WALKER, AP Baseball Writer
October 19, 2004
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Roger Clemens can relax. For now, Pete Munro is the Houston Astros' pick to pitch them into the World Series.
Ahead 3-2 in the NL championship series, manager Phil Garner studied it: the Rocket on three days' rest vs. a journeyman hit hard last week. On the team flight to St. Louis, Munro was told he would start Game 6 Wednesday against the Cardinals.

i kinda wish that people would realize that the rocket is not our only decent player on the pitching staff here. Even many of the Astros fans here in Houston think that Roger is our only pitching force, which is a lil annoying. Clemens is a great pitcher, but he isn't our only good one... Go 'Stros anyhow, we need the big win this year!

Astros are in perfect position. Brad Lidge's stuff is just way too nasty. In Game 4, after two-inning work in Game 3, he still had Cardinals' hitters completely baffled. They were swinging at sliders that were no where near the strike zone. As long as Clemens can get through 6 innings in Game 7 with a lead, it's over. And that's assuming there is a Game 7.

Houston's plan tonight: 5-6 innings from Clemens, 2 innings from Oswalt, and 1-2 innings from Lidge.

Yeah, now I'm positive that the Astros aren't gonna win the series this year.
