Li Na got bounced. Bartoli in the Final I like that a lot. Radwanska or Lisicki. Well, I'd prefer Radwanska to get her 2nd crack so it'd be a battle of former finalists but either player will suffice. I'll root for Rad to get there though.

In the final, I'm gonna be rooting for Bartoli.

Andy vs Novak.

What a great men's final this could be.

Rooting for the genius tomorrow.

This is so pathetic. A plane crash lands and Abc has to suck every drop of airtime to cover this shit. Only because this is replay of the final do they have to repeat shit over and over for the past thirty minutes. Heck just tell us at 5 pm what the hell happened in detail. This is so sick.

Finally back and Bartoli breezed through the first set. Shute you could have just started from the first set since it didn't last maybe 30 minutes at most.

Awww. I love to see a player who exudes such emotion like Sabine. It was heartbreaking to see her begin to cry after one of her double faults when her serve had seemingly left her but good for coming back and making the 2nd set a bit tighter. I do hope she makes more slam finals. She seems like a wonderful player to represent tennis.

Bartoli was on a mission and got it done. Her path was ultra easy but that's not her fault. You play who you must. I'm happy for her.

So I decided to not wait till 2pm and watched a lot of the final on my phone via the watchespn app. I'm so glad I did. This was a great hotly contested final. It was exciting nail biting and extremely intense. I can't imagine the pressure of that final game but apparently Andy didn't remember any of it after it happened. I'm glad that weight is no longer there. He's on another level now since Olympic and us open win. I hope we see more Murray Novak finals. Finally, this was one of the most special ceremonies obviously due to the circumstances but it was awesome to see what seemed like everyone getting handshakes and what not. I loved the video of the reaction shots especially of Lendl on match point. He's just politely clapping while seated and Mcenroe says he's going crazy inside or something. Great stuff.

Serena bounced back and beat down some Swedish player over the weekend for her 7th title of 2013.

The negative sweat stain on Azarenka's shirt right now looks like she has the batman symbol on her chest. That's pretty awesome. It's getting sweatier as she plays though, so it won't last long.

VIVA SERENA!

AP Female Athlete of the Year

Apparently it's her 3rd time winning this.

Quote:
Williams, who grew up in Compton, Calif., and turned 32 in September, produced the finest women's tennis season in years. According to the WTA:

• Her .951 winning percentage was the best since Steffi Graf's .977 in 1989;

• her 11 titles were the most since Martina Hingis' 12 in 1997;

• her winning streak was the longest since her sister, Venus, had a 35-match run in 2000.

Quote:
She went 78-4 with 11 titles, including at the French Open and US Open, raising her Grand Slam championship total to 17. She compiled a 34-match winning streak. She earned more than $12 million in prize money, a record for women's tennis. In February, she became the oldest No. 1 in WTA rankings history and never left that perch.

Oh Venus... :tears:

As I left the buffalo wild wings, she was up 5-2 in the first and I thought she was gonna cruise. She lost the 2nd and 3rd sets 6-4 6-4. Jeez Louise.

Bouchard has soon to be top 10/top 5 player written all over her, great combination of mobility, power shots for winners, serves well and has exceptional feel that makes everything look calm, easy and in her control. Watching the last 2 matches in full made me convinced she will be a top player, whether that means Radwanska type good but not good enough or multi GS like Azarenka, Henin, etc.
